I am a man coming from a land called Transylvania, born and raised in the pit of the Carpathian mountains in the country named Romania.
I was born 1992 in Cluj-Napoca, where I spent the first part of my life, living and learning how the be the person I am today.
I remember a summer break somewhere in the early 2000s when I was passing the time drawing pictures of NBA legends on the arms and legs of the local basketball heroes at the neighbourhood basketball court.
We were so cool, decorated with these drawings of our idols. The feeling was soon gone as these marks of pride were melting down in streams of sweat, becoming these unrecognizable smudges at the lightest touch.
I followed the guidance of my professors at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, starting with 2010. Here I was exposed to the intricacies of drawing, painting, sculpture and much more. In the time spent here I surpassed my NBA doodles that I was making a few years ago on my friends.
But I had an idea.
I still think it's one of the best ideas I had. That's why I'm here today, so those marks of pride won't turn into smudges at the slightest touch.
The years spent studying seemed to help with this. Not only that I had a tattoo machine, I actually had an idea of what you could do with it. It was just an idea, since I soon found out that it's not as easy as it seems. But what a journey, trying to recreate what I learned to do on paper on living flesh. It couldn't get weirder than that.
Nowadays, I meet all these courageous people that feed this strange, obsessive desire to become better artists and come up with the coolest pieces out there. Thank you for your trust and your appreciation for the thing we like to think we do best.
Most of my work is black and grey, even though I'm no stranger to colour work. Realism, Neo Traditional, Illustrative, Japanese I enjoy a bit of everything. Where there's a will there's a way, and we will find that way.
